Music - Underrated Albums V1

Music - Underrated Albums V1

I've been doing quite a lot of traveling lately and it's re-sparked some old playlists I've not heard for a while.

I've got to say even if you've never heard of some of these albums before then I'd highly suggest giving them a good listen.

In no order:

The Darkness: Permission to Land (2003)

So, if you're into running or some sort of intense exercise then this album should be on your workout mix.

The album starts with a raging guitar and brings with it pure and uninterrupted power.

I've lost a few calories thanks to Black Shuck.

I said it right there... it's a powerful album. As a debut album, it's one of the best I've ever heard.

The album features the 1st hit number from the Darkness 'I Believe in a Thing Called Love' which I feel compared to the rest of the album is a little tame...

Give it a listen but make sure it's on LOUD.

Paul Simon: Graceland (1986)

Graceland is an eye-opener for someone who looks for music.

The chart-topping single from the album 'You Can Call Me Al' again is a small gem on this album.

Produced in South Africa and New York it's a raw album but has a lot of controversial parts to it.

But really it doesn't deserve that at all... it's bold but from it all came some songs that I would consider to be amazing.

For your listening pleasure.

Keane: Hopes and Fears (2004)

Hopes and Fears for me is a personal album, and as it's grown older I'd say it's gotten better and more accurate.

I was 5 when this album was released and I still remember hearing it for the 1st time... in the car.

The piano still gives me goosebumps on Bedshaped.

For you to enjoy.
