So, if you've never seen The Italian Job, stop right here!

Please go and watch it!

This article contains critical spoilers for the plot.

Okay, so if you've seen The Italian Job, you're all very aware of the plot and the result.

But something came across my desk today that really amazed me.

Why I've never thought of it before is a surprise!

The Italian Job contains the first ever on film earliest example of an attack against a 'computer system'.

Professor Peach (Benny Hill) is seen replacing the tape on the Honeywell Tape Drive.

The result is a Denial-of-Service Attack (DOS):

Chaos.

Amazing, the entire film could do with a full breakdown as a young child watching this was pure fascination.

I don't think that anyone from Paramount would be bothered about some random blog site 'using' images to illustrate this.... but.
